The trees have officially changed to the most beautiful deep red colour and I am living for it at the moment. It feels like fall is finally here, since it is my favourite season it seems fitting to share with you some of my fall essentials!
WARM DRINKS
I am an iced coffee fanatic, but the moment the weather turns chilly and a leaf hits the ground I trade my iced coffee for a hit drink. On the days where I don't feel like having a crazy drink I will go for a dark roast coffee with two creams and one sugar. When I am feeling wild and want my sugar intake for the week in just one day I will get a salted caramel mocha from Starbucks. This is quite possibly the most white-girl-esque drink out there but I don't care... it's damn good.
ALL THINGS COZY
As far as being Canadian goes, I am pretty weak; the instant the weather goes below 20 degrees (celsius) I am bundling. During the fall you won't see me wearing less than two layers. This typically includes leggings, a cozy sweater, my jean jacket and either a scarf or beanie. For the days that I'm at home, I am snuggled up in a sweatshirt with my fleece blanket on my lap.
BOOTIES
Nothing screams fall quite like a good pair of ankle booties paired with the perfect autumnal outfit. I love pairing my black booties with black legging, a big chunky sweater, my jean jacket and either a beanie or cozy scarf.
FALL SCENTED CANDLES
I am a fall scent fiend, as soon as the leaves turn orange I pull out my ridiculously large collections of fall scents and go wild. My absolute favourite smell comes from Bath and Body Works and is their 'Leaves' scent. This candle is the epitome of fall and I cannot get enough of it.
On days where I cant be bothered to light a candle however, I use my scents wax melter. Scentsy has hundreds of incredible seasonal scents to fit your mood, the best part about their melters is that they are compatible with other wax cubes. The majority of my cues come from Walmart and let me tell you, they have an INCREDIBLE fall scent selection right now. I have been melting cinnamon cookie non-stop and my room smells amazing.
BOOKS
For those of you that dont know me, I love love love books; I always have a book on the go. Because of school right now, the only books I have time to read textbooks but that doesn't mean Im not growing my book collection at the moment. If you are looking to crack open a good read this fall I would high suggest you take a look at Sarah J. Maas's new book coming out this Tuesday. Sarah is one of my absolute favourite authors and I am stoked to get my hands on her newest book Kingdom of Ash. If you haven't read the first books in her series Throne of Glass I can't recommend them enough, you will get sucked right in.
I hope you all enjoyed todays post, I know it was quite a short one but things are starting to really pick up at school. With that in mind I am trying my hardest to keep posting at a consistent rate and stay on top of school, so bear with me. I hope you have an amazing rest of your Sunday and an even better week ahead of you!
